Only You

Take my heart, I Lay it down
At the feet of you whose crowned
Take my life, I’m letting go
I lift it upto You who’s throned

And I will worship You, Lord
Only You, Lord
And I will bow down before You
Only You Lord

Take my fret, take my fear
All I have, I’m leaving here
Be all my hopes, be all my dreams
Be all my delights, be my everything

And It’s just you and me here now
Only you and me here now

You should see the view
When it’s only You

150 Word Story

I was a Christian who grew up in a Christian home, and went to a Christian school, where I took everything for granted. In high school, I put God on the back burner, where I knew he was still there, but all as a facade of who I was during my time alone during the week. I fell into the worldly things I claimed I hated, and mistreated a lot of people. I was weary, broken, and ashamed, and God forgave it all. I rededicated my life to Christ when I was getting ready to graduate. I constantly make mistakes, some seemigly larger than others, yet God forgives me time and time again. His love and mercy have been lavished on me, and I am living now with faith that he is the only one I need to trust for anything, since he has adopted me as his own.

Prayer

Dear Jesus, help us to spread your fragrance everywhere we go.

Flood our souls with your spirit and life.

Penetrate and possess our whole being so utterly that our lives may only be a radiance of yours.

Shine through us, and be so in us, that every soul we come
in contact with may feel your presence in our soul.

Let them look up and see no longer us but only Jesus!

Stay with us, and then we shall begin to shine as you shine;
so to shine as to be a light to others; the light O Jesus,
will be all from you, none of it will be ours;
it will be you, shining on others through us.

Let us thus praise you in the way you love best by
shining on those around us.

Let us preach you without preaching, not by words
but by our example, by the catching force, the
sympathetic influence of what we do.

The evident fullness of the love our hearts bear to you.

Amen

Medicore

Being mediocre is so easy. Everyone has the ability to do it. Just be a regular ol’ Joe. A face in the crowd.

Jesus was far from mediocre. There are many examples of how he did above and beyond of what was called of him. One time he was walking through a crowd of people, and a woman touched his robe, instantly healing her. He knew that some power was taken out of him, and he knew that he could have gone on, without even mentioning the fact that he had just healed this woman. He decided to stop, and not just be mediocre in his walking. He stopped, and brought attention to the woman’s faith, and how strong faith she had. He didnt have to. She didnt ask him to. There was no guideline or rulebook for him to do such a thing. He just did it.

We are called to be like Jesus. Above and beyond what people ask and expect of us.
We are called to Be More Than Mediocre.
